Engineer In Training

Job Description

Development Resource Group, LLC is a consulting firm specializing in civil engineering, surveying, planning, entitlements, and consulting. We are a new and growing company with a solid strategy to lead us into the future.

We are seeking a Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to successfully prepare site development construction drawings, engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure, and permit applications associated with residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time position with a substantial benefit package. Pay will be based on individual qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes project goals within scope, budget and schedule
  • Prepares engineering reports, details, and specifications
  • Preparation of engineering designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Research regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Creates drawings from written and verbal specifications
  • Maintains all revisions of project drawings
  • Reviews drawings for completeness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT Certification required
  • Highly proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with the ability to deliver excellent service
  • Able to manage and multitask work in a fast-paced environment

Job Description

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in Land Surveying 
  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties:

  • Boundary, topographic, ALTA, residential, commercial, various route types and construction layout
  • Will be required to demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills while running a field crew in providing various conventional, robotic and GPS land surveying projects

Responsibilities/Abilities:

  • This position requires good verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience with or flexibility learning GPS receivers and robotic total stations
  • Knowledge of GPS surveying including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS
  • Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including: Remotely uploading and downloading field data, preparation/organization of field sketches and digital photographs, completion of daily checklists and timesheets
